Blue Seal Acquires Knight’s Farm Supply, Long-time Blue Seal Dealer
Gray, Maine (October 3, 2023) — Blue Seal Feeds, Inc. (Blue Seal) announced today the acquisition of Knight’s Farm Supply (Knight’s) in Augusta, Maine, further deepening its commitment to delivering quality products and service to customers in the New England area.
“We are excited to welcome Knight’s to our family of local Blue Seal stores,” said Mike Gauss, President. “Knight’s is a natural fit, as we both take pride in having a history of great customer service while providing a unique shopping experience. Additionally, Knight’s has been a long-time, loyal Blue Seal dealer for our family company; we’re honored Rick and Rhonda Knight are passing the torch to us, we wish them a wonderful retirement and thank them for their years of selling Blue Seal products.”
The acquisition includes the Knight’s store at 2310 N Belfast Avenue. Previous owners, Rick and Rhonda Knights’s daughter, Sara, will manage the location.
“Rhonda and I are happy with this next step for our store,” said Rick Knight, owner of Knight’s Farm Supply. “I was asked by Dean Webster, past Blue Seal owner, to open this Augusta location back in 1991. We have had a great partnership with Blue Seal for all these years. I will remain on for a couple months through the transition.”
Knight’s offers customers farm supplies and more, including, lawn and garden, pet, heating products (pellets, bricks and blocks) and wild bird seed.
“Our stores, like Knight’s, have a long-standing legacy of providing excellent customer service and a unique shopping experience,” said Jacinda Trask, Director of Retail Store Operations. “This store location is a great complement to our existing footprint.”
