Muscatine currently has the premiere soccer facility in Iowa. It is used by thousands of Muscatine residents annually, and the tournaments there bring thousands of additional visitors to the area every year.
The long-discussed Phase 3 of the Muscatine Soccer Complex is getting closer to fruition. Gage Kent recently donated 17 acres of land to be used in the expansion, which will include additional soccer fields featuring multi-use synthetic playing surface. The synthetic turf holds up better than grass and will allow more games to be played, as well as the potential to host non-soccer events.
