Recently, GPC hosted a tour of the new dryer house being built. It was an opportunity for elected officials, as well as members from the EPA and IDNR, to view the progress being made on the $100 million environmental sustainability project.
Muscatine City Council member Bob Bynum, who represents the 4th ward where the GPC plant is located, walked away from the tour impressed.
“I really believe GPC has a campaign truly transparent to let the public see what they’re doing behind their cosmetic wall,” Bynum said in the Muscatine Journal. “It’s neat to see this happen and I think it will make the people of the Fourth Ward extremely happy.”
